Police, Fire, and Ambulance services are provided to the citizens and visitors of the City of Nyssa by three departments.

The Police Department of the City of Nyssa is led by Chief Ray Rau. The department is staffed by employees of the Police Department as well as volunteers of the Nyssa Police  reserves group.

The Fire Department of the City of Nyssa is staffed by a team of volunteers. Led by Chief Chad Vineyard, these dedicated volunteers give many hundreds of hours of service to the community.

The Treasure Valley Paramedics teams provide emergency ambulance service to the Nyssa community. TV Paramedics is a private company which contracts with the City of Nyssa to provide Ambulance services.

The Public Works departments of the City of Nyssa perform essential services for the city and its citizens. The departments of Streets, Parks, Water Works, and Waste Water Treatment are staffed by dedicated public employees.

The Water department is responsible for the potable water system for the city of Nyssa. The water department is managed by Duane Petty. & Gerardo (Payo) Gonzales 

The Wastewater department is responsible for the waste and sewage disposal systems for the city of Nyssa. this department is managed by Duane Petty & Bruce Goodell.

The Streets department  is responsible for the maintenance and repair of the network of city streets for the city of Nyssa. This department is managed by Duane Petty.

 The Parks department is responsible for the maintenance and repair of the parks for the city of Nyss. This department is managed by Duane Petty.
